Firstly sorry for the cryptic title.

Long story short, I'm trying to get the Japanese characters/word for the word 'Kuromasu' (which is in fact a Japanese word)

It's actually on this wiki page here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kuromasu but I can't view it because I havent got a language pack for firefox (or at least thats the conclusion I've come to)

any ideas as to an alternative method?

Its hardly imperative that I get it, it just would be nice

thanks

黒マスはどこだ

just so you know i havent picked a random word lol

Kuromasu (Japanese:黒マスはどこだ kuromasu wa doko da) is a binary-determination logic puzzle published by Nikoli. As of 2005, one book consisting entirely of Kuromasu puzzles has been published by Nikoli.

If you dont have language packs that also may not help.

This any use?

Here you go:)

The characters you are looking for are KU RO MA SU

Once you find them put them all together and you have your word in Japanese:)

IIRC its just マスはどこだ

黒 Is the whole word in Kanji for it from what it looks like to me.

Dont forget the japanese have 3 or 4 ways of righting:p

thats not right though. that says masu wa dokoda

what zip suggested is your best bet. Use Hiragana if you're sure its a japanese word. if it's not, use katakana.

well for the lucky people who read Japanese, does this read Kuromasu then?

it's only really for sticking into a program I'm writing for some coursework as a design feature so it's not hugely important but I'm procrastinating and I thought it'd be a nice idea!

Well, it might be right.
But what zip's written is your best bet and defintley right :)

the 2 symbols at the end write "masu" so if you assume the first one is kuro, then its right...kidna.., lol. "masu" is usually something written in hiragana like zip wrote. never seen it in katakana (what you wrote) so not sure if it's right.
