How can i gt nero working with vista 64bit

I downloaded the latest Nero Lite and it installed fine on my work Vista 64

Yeah, you need version 7.5.4 I think it is.

The newest version of Nero is 7.7.5.1 and it is Vista ready, i use it on Vista without any issues.

I take it back, the very latest version of Nero Lite does not work with Vista yet which is a shame as the normal Nero package is getting so horribly bloated

190megs at the last check - ridiculous!

You don't need to install it all though. Besides, 200mb is hardly a lot of disk space these days.

190 megs is the compressed install file size. I'd wager the installed product is around 400 meg and of all that I only need the 17meg Nero burning ROM application meaning the other 383 megs are pure wasted space

I don't begrudge the other apps, I just begrudge having to download lots of stuff I don't want. They themselves should offer a Lite version.

You can deselect all the other components and only install Nero Burning ROM, this is what I have done

How about Nero scout

Even doing a custom install appears to offer no option to remove that

just tryed again i removed every thing from the reg rebooted and installed again it just gets so fat and stops and just disapears from tne screen

Yeah, I wish there was an option not to install Nero Scout. Never in the whole time I've used Nero have I ever used Nero Scout.
