Ok guys my friend has got rid of a few parts of his computer so he gave them to me!
i received a cpu from him that's a socket A (i know this for definate) but i'm not sure what it is it just says amd 2000 on it? is it a barton or xp? or is there a simple way of telling which (other than placing it in a socket A motherboard which i don't have)?

thought it was a xp, also just as a bit more info the top of the chip is green which as i thought is a xp!
