How can I monitor CPU core usage?

Used both Football Manager and Championship Manager for some performance testing a couple years back.

Championship Manager is nicely threaded when calculating a large number of results, last tested it with 2008 and you could see some nice speed ups in some areas where you were just waiting on calculation.

Football Manager seemed more to leave the user interface active for some tasks and calculate things in the background. You could hit on some areas where you were left waiting but it was mostly if say you set the manager on holiday.

The only things i could think of were, insufficient RAM, slow HDD, full HDD or that the game might not make use of the multi threading technology on the i7 but apparently this happens on the Q6600 too, and looking at your specs your machine is too new to have a full HDD and everything else is well over spec needed for this simple little game. MayB the game isn't making full use of all the cores? Either way you look at it you are not alone. People are having the same problem on various machines. But some people on low spec machines are laughing. Number crunching is usually down to raw clock speed by the way so up the FSB and see if it helps?
