...onto a Alpenfohn Matterhorn Pure CPU cooler?

I ordered a WB Pure Alpenfohn fan, but the supplied rubber mounts were for regular case holes. I need something that will allow me to mount that CPU fan, with regular vertically aligned holes, with the rear of the Alpenfohn Matterhorn Pure's heatsink, which is horizontal. This fan is 1,500rpm and pushes roughly the same air as the originally supplied fan on the front of the heatsink. I'm obviously matching RPMs as well.

Any ideas?

I'd much rather not have to take a great deal out of the case, as I'm not sure how much temps will drop in push pull. All of my case fans are ideally laid out so how much benefit I'll get from that extra fan on the heatsink, I don't know, but I'm hoping it's 4-5c. As it stands, I stick to 4GHz on my 2500K because on hot days, (room approx 26-28°c) the CPU reaches 62-64. Now while that is okay, it's not a comfortable overhead for me and obviously rules out higher overclocks. On cooler days running it at 4.2GHz makes it run 65-68c, so you can see where I'm going on this. I was kind of hoping that I'd be able to find a means of running at 4.5GHz without having to knock it down on hot days... but I'm starting to think that isn't going to happen.

In any case, if anyone could give me some suggestions on mounting the fan I bought, that'd be greatly appreciated.

I did think about wire, but then I figured it might vibrate like crazy. I wonder if there's anywhere that does rubberised bendy wire?

What realistic temp reduction will I get by creating this push/pull configuration?

2-3c?
