hey i have a Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) - Retail that i got for my birthday a few mounths ago and for xmas im getting 4gig (at mo running 2gig) is it safe and how can i over clock it to 3ghz?

in my bios i rased it all up but nothing changed and the software that come with my bios didnt do anything too =[ ill have a lok at them links
