How can I record telephone calls using a landline, mobile or skype?

I'm aware of the laws regarding this and hence why it's nigh on impossible to get apps to do this on smartphones (last time I checked anyway).

Is there a way or a device that I can get to record phone interviews?

Cheers!

Edit add - What about skype calls? I don't think skype has a native recorder so I'm guessing some program that runs in windows recording both mic input and speaker output at the same time work work. Any (preferably free) recommendations?

Loudspeaker and mic? :p

LOL, I suppose it's crude but would work! I guess a digital voice recorder with usb connection to get the mp3 off would work.

You can buy devices that plug in between your phone line and phone and output to 3.5mm jack so you can plug it into anything and record.
Just google it or look on ebay for "phone recorder"

My old k800i was able to record calls but it made a loud beep as you began recording.

A quick google gives this for android, may work, http://www.appbrain.com/app/call-recorder-|-tr-demo/com.killermobile.totalrecall.trial

Hmm...I suppose if I get this San Fran for the person if there really are apps that work, that could work out real well. I'm a bit apprehensive about that one as it says it might not work on all android phones :(

Edit: Added a question to the first post too about skype.

interested in this too. often customer will call and i wont have time to write everything down so this would be an excellent way to record everything they say

ask them to tell you again to be sure about what they said, that will give you more time.
