How can I record the sound from a video clip and save it as an .mp3?

Hi guys,

I've got a couple of video clips of tv show intros (mpeg/avi etc) which I'd like to record/convert to .mp3 so that I can then put them on my phone to be used as ringtones/message tones

Any free software out there that can meet my needs?

I'm too slow, I was going to suggest AoA

It's great, been using it for over a year, faultless (touch wood)

I use it along with my DVD Recorder. I record radio shows from Freeview, copy the mpeg over to the PC and rip it to MP3 to listen on the go
