How can I slow down my CPU to run MotoRacer (1997)?

Howdy,

I found an old CD that came with my Matrox Mystique many moons ago - Moto Racer. It brings back many memories playing that in my Uni Days.

Quick question, how can I lower my CPU speed to say a 166 Pentium?

I have a dual core 6600 : 2.40Ghz and it is unplayable!

Also is there a hack to get it using a res higher than 640x480 without D3D hardware? I know of the -noD3D switch to get it running.

BTW it has to be freeware, else I am gonna have to dig out my old Pentium laptop :-(

EDIT: Freeware huh, trickier.

EDIT2: the basic version is free so long as its for personal recreational use apprently

Don't you just turn off the affinity for the cores on old games if needed?

Like make it so it can only use 1 core, that should do the trick surely?

Its probably the second core which is affecting it, a few older games have this prob.
