How Can I Stream Music Wirelessly From PC?

How can I stream some music playing on my PC to regular speakers wirelessly?

I need something reliable, and able to pass through walls, I think AV senders do this but not really sure how to connect this up to PC?

All ideas welcome, cheers.

if you have line in on your stereo, there are quite a few wireless players out now, I have a netgear mp101, old now and it wasn't the best out when I got it but it works for me and was the best £50 I ever spent, its great to be able to acccess all my mp3s and play them through my stereo. it works fine I'm y average semi with my computer upstairs and my stereo downstairs

You could also use a FM Transmitter. The only problem with these is the cheapo ones are rubbish. Veronica sells high quality units, and are worth a look.

There are several such devices to choose from.

I have been using a SqueezeBox for ~ 9 months and it has been fine. It can play quite a few music formats (including APE files which what I use for archiving as it lossless compression).
