Following my PC not shutting down properly https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/threads/pc-not-shutting-down-properly.18951379/

I have tried to reinstall the OS (Win 11) I created a bootable media, formatted the c drive in the win setup menu and every time I try and install windows it freezes on the 'just a moment' screen. If I turn off pc it goes into a loop of turning off/on and takes a while to 'settle' if that makes sense?!! I can access and change bios settings fine and its showing no error lights on the back. Only other thoughts are that the C drive (ssd) has corrupted but if I insert a bootable media I can reinstall win 11 until it hangs at the aforementioned stage.

Strip from case and put on the cardboard mobo box , reset to default values in bios , just have 1 drive connected , just use 1 stick of ram and then try to instal windows. If still the same issue then flash bios and try with a different drive even if that is a HDD. You want to eliminate a SSD/HDD drive error before you think about the mobo so see if you can sucessfully instal onto any drive you have handy but only have 1 drive connected when attempting to instal.

Also check in BIOS to see if you are running UEFI or cfg/legacy. Try changing and see if that helps at all.

Thanks yes I’ve done the uefi.
I’ll unplug the 2 other ssd’s as tbh that’s where all my issues started when I upgraded one of them recently.

You sir are a star!!! I unlined the ssd’s first and it installed first time! So mobo working! Does that mean I should now insert the other ssd’s?

Thanks all. I installed each drive at a time including the new one which seemed to start causing the issues first time around Each drive worked fine and no issues now booting pc. must have been some odd glitch that even occurred with mobos installed!
