Hi all

I've been thinking about getting myself a new Netgear N600 (DGND3700) Router but I've been reading some user reviews and some seem to be having connection dropping problems when using this router with older ADSL or ADSL MAX lines. The router seems to have no problems at all with newer ADSL2+ lines which is great if you have one.

So, is there any way that I can tell what type of ADSL line I have. Will there be anything in my current router settings that can tell me what type of line I'm on????

Current ISP and router?

Some modem/routers display the full ADSL information on one of their pages.

Sometimes you can telnet into the router for detailed ADSL stats.

Connection speed can also be a clue. 1 Mbit upload tends to only be with ADSL2+ for example. 12-20 Mbit download is certainly ADSL2+ as another example.
