I've got a dual-band WiFi card in my PC and my router is also dual-band Wireless N, with both bands sharing the same SSID.
The two seem to be only connecting at around 130-144Mbps, although it sometimes rises to 300Mbps. I'm wondering if the differing speeds are down to it connecting over the two frequencies at different times. The router is the next room so it shouldn't be a range problem.
In Windows, is there any way to tell which frequency band I'm connected on?
