How can I turn off mouse acceleration with an MX revolution?

I've tried steermouse, but when it's installed, it takes over from the logitech software, and then half the buttons don't work

Is there any way I can have the Logitech coltrol centre working, and acceleration turned off some how? Even some terminal hack will do...
