In the limited amount of experience I have had with IMDB.com, it is very good

IMDB, IMO, is the 2nd most valuable resource on the web.

But I think I see what the OP is saying... there are people that claim that IMDB is an unreliable source because it is user-updateable, similar to Wiki.
