Im talking about body hair.
How can something that is perfectly natural be unattractive?
Most people i know dont like women with hairy arm pits or legs at all.

What is making us find it unattractive?

I guess it has become the norm really. Because that is what we expect, anything different is 'wrong'

Personally, I don't like hairy women

I don't really know, but I do agree. I find hair on arms and the like a bit of a turn off on girls. I think body hair like that is more associated as a manly thing. Similarly I think facial hair on girls can be a little off putting.

But maybe it's not that surprising, feet are perfectly natural, and a lot of people hate them!

It became trendy for western women to remove body hair approx 100 years ago..... more recently guys have started to remove underarm and chest hair - which is very starnge.

Same as everything else - If it catches on, and enough people start talking about it - it becomes the norm. It has no benifit to the females in question (unless they are sports women) - or us males - apart from the cosmetic look.

Why do women feel the need to put make-up on or do their hair different every year or keep stick thin..... the same reason.

Underarm Hair :
The physiological purpose of this hair is yet to be explained, but it has been suggested that it serves to collect pheromones and to lessen the effects of friction on the skin during locomotion

Why do we wear deoderant? Why do we wear clothes? Why do we get haircuts?

This could go on forever. All it is what is socially acceptable and what is not in western society, at the moment. Like the above poster mentioned, even men are shaving body hair now (although you won't catch me doing that  ) - so things are probably going to change, and things will no doubt look quite different in another 100 or so years.

If you look at different societies and cultures around the world, from things like the Japanese (see recent thread at shock of new pin-up there) to primitive tribes, there are many things which are the norm there we might even find offensive. It's just the way that a society nurtures its people to have certain ingrained beliefs and thoughts.

During locomotion? The Kylie song?

i thought it was there to reduce the amount of body heat lost?
especially in areas such as the armpit which have major blood vessels running very close to the surface of the skin.
blood cooling is generally regarded as a bad thing isn't it?

When it was winter and we didn't have central heating I would have thought.

So its for poor uni students?

I dont recall getting extra hairy? :)

I have a mate of mediterranean decent that looks like a freaking gorilla with his top off, obviously hes genetically less evolved :p

Muslims (men and women) from puberty, shave their underarm and pubic hair. It's done for cleanliness/personal hygiene.

I find it too much effort to get my head hair cut so luckily I am not very hairy.

But a girl that has hairy armpits or legs is nasty.
