How cheap is it to get a CBT lisence?

am i right in thinking its aprox £120?

And what then about leathers? obviosuly i wouldnt go the whole hog, just gloves, jacket and helmet, am i dreaming thinking i would be sorted with about £300? or am i going to need more?

Cbt 80-130
helmet £50-500 (its down to fit not price)
Jacket £50-300 (Can get last seasons colours for knock down prices )
Trousers £50-300 (same as jacket )
Boots £30-200
Gloves £20-150

With some smart shopping you might just do it but will be tight

My CBT was £90 with the hire of one of their bikes.

If you've got your own bike the CBT is about £75.

If you get textile bike gear instead of leathers you can do it for £300 easy. My helmet was £100, armoured jacket £100, padded trousers £40-50, decent gloves £50-60. You can do it cheaper but better gear lasts longer, that lot I bought in Feb 2005 and it all looks near unworn even though I use it pretty much every day. Apart from the gloves, they are shagged.

Whats the waiting time for CBT?

I will be able to use my sisters fiance's bike, just need a bit more practise before i book!

I'm doing a Direct Access course. Costs £600 all in, including hire of all equipment required.

Different places different waiting times, i rang mine at 8pm and got to do it next day so did a mate with same guy.

£90 was the price i paid using there bike but a few wanted around £150
