you can pick up an Asus H81M-PLUS for £25 on begrade, would it be upto the job of gaming.

Edit :P, the bards listed can all be had for under £30, would any be worth buying.

Gigabyte H81M-D2V
Gigabyte H81M-DS2
Asus H81M-C
Asus H81M-PLUS

Hey P4. Nowadays realistically the only benefit of a better motherboard is more fan headers/aesthetic/ports ect.

Go for whatever fits your bits and looks nice/has some functionality that you like and has a nice warranty

Linus has a great video comparing a £400 board to a £50 board and the performance was identical the only difference as i said was more headers ect.

Basically i want something like a console but a PC, just a small budget pc the use when the main rig is sleeping. doesn't have to be a monster.

The most demanding thing it will do is BF4 @ 1080, 60 Fps.

must have had 10+ Bgrade board and only 2 as not had an i/o, most look to boxed as new. it all depends on the reason for it been in Bgrade.

Am not on a tight budget but am not going to spend £1000 on a system that will be turned on one day a week if that.

Forgive me for asking but why on earth would you want a small gaming PC "when your main rig is sleeping" ? Does it get tired ?

Why dont you just use your main PC for gaming ?

My dining room is only small, so my gaming rig is in the bed room. When the woman works day's she in bed at 7pm and i want to have a something i can play on :)

Days are gone where cheap boards would impact on performance.

Any of those H series boards will be fine as a stock gaming platform.
