How come Adobe Reader 8 doesn't use full width of screen?

Hi eversince I installed adobe reader 8, it doesn't seem to use the full width of my screen, usually only taking up half of no matter how much I zoom in. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks

I've checked for updates but there is none to fix it.
