How crummy a machine will WHS run on

I've read that WHS doesn't really need much in the way of processing power or memory and that it's all about disk space, but to what extent is this the case?

I've got an old P4 2.4 machine which I could press into service. Would this do the job or am I on a hiding to nothing?

If the latter, what's the minimum spec (aside from hard drives) that I'd need to run an effective box?

Successfully running on my old iDEQ 200N SFF machine. AMD Athlon XP 2100+, 512MB DDR RAM, nForce2 Chipset. Runs perfectly. The only restricting factor is the 100mbit Network card/network its got.

Mine is touch and go with an old P4 and 512, but i hammer it a fair bit with transcoding media, parity checks, unraring and encoding associated with usenet downloading, since it acts as my download box. Every now and then (generally a week) it needs a reset for some reason or other just to make sure things are ticking over properly. Other than that it does very well for bodged old hardware :).
