How damaged is this chip

The intel heatsink looks damaged quite severely as you an see from the pictures.

I'm prity sure the OEMs have a 1 year warranty. The retail chips come with the 3 year warranty.

Not according to Intels website. You have to go to your supplier

Bugger! Given up hope on the thing.

Guy contacted me. Apparently the gold connecters (there are no pins?) have been scraped of and the little things in the middle of the cpu have been broken.

The muppet still thinks that they retail for £650 and that its still worth nearly as much.

He still thinks you can get warrenty even though it is oem and bulldozed

When using a hammer to install a intel cpu,make sure to use a block of wood between the CPU and hammer or you may damage the cpu...You can tell went you hit it with the right force as it should show three splits in the motherboard went seated all the way in...
