3-0 AWAY at Stamford Bridge AGAINST the CHAMPIONS?

Just how on earth did they do this?

Supporting Chelsea or not you have to admire their spirit with going to Chelsea and playing with 2 players up front. Most teams go there and keep it tight where Sunderland went there and attacked from the first minute.

They all played so well!

Got to say well done to Steve Bruce and his team for a wonderful result yesterday.

Were tactically good and bossed the midfield. Perhaps it's a sign that their squad isn't as good as in previous years. No biggie, I suppose another spending spree might happen this summer.

Don't forget too that Chelsea had chances as well, Sunderland took theirs. ;) It was a freak of a result as it was a game.

Sunderland were the better team by far.

It should have been 3-0 at half time if they had taken their chances.

Good point about chelsea squad just look at the kids they had on the bench
not really top class internationals any more.

I really like that Gyan player he is quality! Gyan and Bent up front would be a handful for most Premiership defences.

Chelsea just weren't particularly good, and Sunderland played very, very well.

Considering it was 4 against 5, the Mackems absolutely bossed midfield. Guess no Essien and no Lampard will do that to you, but don't let that take anything away from the visitors. The first two goals were tremendous.

Great result for the league though. Makes it far better when everyone is beatable.

Weak chelsea side, sunderland are not too bad and you can quite easily get this sort of result. Not having your 2 first choice center backs can ruin most top sides.

Haven't you watched Sunderland this year? They're a good side

beaten city and chelsea, drawn man united, arsenal and spurs ( and liverpool but thats nowt to shout about this year)

basically unbeaten against last years top 7

bound to get beaten by everton now though..its the sunderland way to build your hopes up then bring them crashing back down

I saw the Chelsea line-up before the game and thought that there could have been an upset. Four full backs in defence meant Sunderland were likely to get chances. I didn't watch the whole game, but from what I saw Sunderland did more than just put there chances away - was very impressed with their passing and work rate. The second goal was very well worked.

and I wouldnt be surprised if every Sunderland supporter would swap all those wins for a single win against Newcastle!!! :D (no disrespect meant to Newcastle)

Sunderland (a litte like Spurs) can be a fantastic side when they want to be, but occasionally when majority think there will be an easy win for that side - it turns into a hideous loss for no "real" reason at all

They were also missing Essien and Lampard while Drogba's had his health problems of late so bar Cech the spine of their team was knackered. Still a fantastic result for Sunderland though.

Ridiculous to think that Chelsea should have had a certain red card as well, wonder what the score would have been if that was given?

Doesnt always work like that though, sometimes it pulls teams together and Chelsea could've ended up with the points
