Hello,

I'm just wondering how people did their MCSE

I'm struggling to find an academy or training centre in Birmingham. Perhaps somebody could help?

torrented the cbt nugget videos and a few cookbooks. Watched the videos twice, read the cookbook. Paid the £100 for the exams.

I did some when I was just out of uni, unemployed and not sure what to do with my life. I did it with one or other of the "academies" that teach these things - I can't remember the name, it was long ago - and I advise you not to go that route. The fact is that it's basically all self study, at most you're getting a brief residential school and the kind of backup you can get just as easily on open forums.

I won't go as far as calling the ones I went with a scam but I don't think they offered good value for money. They're all advertised in a frankly misleading fashion and they all offer little that you can't find online for less.

Buy the books, hunt around for information, help and forums online, and pay for the exams directly. It's a lot cheaper.

This is what I will be doing....once the Windows 10 exams get finalized.
