How did you learn to OC?

no fans and not even a heatsink 
I learned by complaining to a work colleague that my pc was a bit slow and he suggested all the usual crap, defrag etc, then suggested i should try overclocking it, i was like ehh????
Eventually found this place (some strange people here i must say
) and learned the easy way. I then found out the mobo wouldn't allow me to overclock so i ended building my first pc.
