How did you learn to OC?

RTFM - when I started OC all settings were by motherboard jumpers, so you had to read and re-read the manual. There wasn't the internet to help.

My first OC was setting a 10Mhz 286 to 12Mhz  no fans and not even a heatsink :D

I learned by complaining to a work colleague that my pc was a bit slow and he suggested all the usual crap, defrag etc, then suggested i should try overclocking it, i was like ehh????

Eventually found this place (some strange people here i must say :) ) and learned the easy way. I then found out the mobo wouldn't allow me to overclock so i ended building my first pc.

5 years ago asked my dad as he had been really into it and then just from there really... lots of forums and asking stupid questions :)

I guess that Google is everyone's friend...however, sorting out the 'wheat from the chaff' is easier said than done...sometimes too much information is just a bad thing!
