I have a new XFi Elite Pro arriving soon. At present I use a Audigy 2 ZS Plat Pro.

My question is how best to uninstall all the Audigy 2 ZS stuff so as there are no conflicts between the 2 cards drivers and software.

1) Uninstall from Add/Remove
2) Use the Audigy unistall program that comes with the drivers
3) Edit the registry and search for all Creative entries/Audigy Entries as long as these entries refer only to the afore mentioned card.

That should be it or is it ?

Anyone had problems upgrading from an Audigy to an XFi ?

Thanks for any info

Just upgraded to an x-fi-music myself the other day from an audigy without any issues:)

1. Uninstall it all from add/remove programs for any creative sound drivers/software.
2. Use Driver Cleaner Pro and have it clean creative audio/creative audio lite to get rid of any remaining files left behind. Works nicely for installing new gfx drivers too.
3. Uninstall it all from the device manager so theres nothing left to uninstall there.
4. Fit new card and enjoy :D

I think it youll be very furtunate if its as trouble free as the above. Creative software really digs its heals in and wont let go without a fight ;)

As well as driver cleaner, also check to see if the creative folder is also gone from "program files" and remove anything creative from device manager (including non-plug&play). Its almost impossable to get 100% creative clean though and theres plenty of registry entries left that drivercleaner leaves behind. "pftmodnt" may also be left behind from the audigy2(doesnt appear to get installed with newest creative drivers) and causes allsorts of weirdness with removing/installing creative apps.
