they make money by the people who use the ad free hosting then wanting to upgrade and they sell the hosting to them and they make a nice profit. It also gets there name around as people will know of that hosting company more andmore from the free hosting provided say for instance we are talking about x10 hosting now and so mayge people frmi this forum will go look and then buy the paid for hosting

Out of interest, do x10 have php/mysql in the free package?
yup, i just had a quick look at what they offer. i might give them a go. my free webspace with my isp only has php4 - these guys have php5.
