How do i add my wireless laptop to my network?

Just bourght a new laptop and its connected to the router/modem wirelessly. The router/modem is hardwired to the main pc. How do i add the laptop so i can view files on the main pc from the laptop?

Turn file & printer sharing on on your main rig, make sure both computers are on the same workgroup, and then you should be able to access your files through unc: \\computername\

sorry still lost, do i need to make the main rig see the laptop first? how do i do that?
