How do I apply a new boot boot screen image? I'm using XP.

http://www.stardock.com/products/bootskin/ for a prog to change boot screens and http://www.themexp.org/ for some boot screens.

i have to ask: why? you get to see it for 3-5 seconds everytime you turn on/restart your pc. and that's it.... :confused:

Didn't Micrsoft put it in as a neater way of booting up? You don't see all the stuff on screen that the boot image hides? I think you can switch the image off by going into msconfig and ticking the /noguiboot option on the boot.ini tab.

For new logon screens, I find Logon Studio to be more than good enough. At the moment, being a massive 24 fan I use this.
