How do I backup blackberry 8900 ?

Hi after my recent thread about trackball not working. Orange are bringing me a replacement to me at home today between 6-10pm

Do I just use the blackberry software to do it ?

Contacts and TEXT MESSAGES are my main concern. as well as all the settings for my email accounts etc. Will it back up everything and then reinstall on new handset everything ?

Just need some clarification on this.

Also have things like facebook, installed will I have to re install that to ?

Also will I need to install the latest phone OS ? how will I know what I have and what I should have installed?

well its just arrived, in process of updating all software etc on it before doing the back up. Hope it remembers everything.
