How do I block a country?

My last couple of forums have been spammed to death by south-east asians, so to prevent the same fate for my new one, how do I block these countries (Indonesia/Malaysia/Philippines)?

You can use GeoIP to block countries. Its free and up to date. It has an apache plug in as well as other API's.

It's not free... There is a subscription fee.

Re-read, they do a free one for simple IP > Country lookups, it's only 99.3% accurate and returns US for all AOL connections. But that makes it at least as reliable as getting an accurate IP address from your users.
