i want to block some numbers on my slvr because I cant stand the person in question calling and texting my mobile any longer. How can I do this?

On my old one there was a section under the messages section to block texts from a certain number or at least divert the messages to a seperate folder.

As for phone calls i dont think its possible unless you go to the police and they deal with the network or something.

Though if its just someone you know ringing i doubt theres much they can do other than you tell them to leave you alone rather than just ignoring them

You could try contacting the network to see if they can block it.

AFAIK as a network Vodafone can't block certain phone numbers (they probably are capable of it but they wont). If you get the police involved it will only waive the £25 to pay for a number change.

On most mobile networks it's not possible to block individual numbers calling each other at network level due to the way the network is actually designed, ie no possibility of CLI filtering...

It's stupid that in the 21st century you still can't block calls on non-pda phones, who designs these things?

It is possible on symbian os phones, just install an app called blacklist ;)
