any ideas?

there a number of ways you could do this

1. using ( internet explorer )
2. using software ie. ( netnanny )
3. site or word blocking built into some routers (most netgear routers do it)

good luck

If you can block websites and domains on your router its by far the best way to go, not sure why your having problems but try finding some help on their support or google, maybe someone here can help you though, oh yeah its also very useful for blocking adverts and stops them putting loads of tracking cookies on your pc.

Could always block them through your hosts file.

C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\ i think is the location, it's called "hosts", no extention on it.

Then to block certain sites, add the following to the bottom

127.0.0.1 www.google.com

That would block www.google.com from being accessed from your machine.
