How do i change the gradient colour in Photoshop please?

The standard gradient layer is like a light grey to a dark gray. How do i change it to say light green to dark green please?

Select two different colours on the palette, unless you mean something else?

If you've spent all that money on Photoshop maybe it would be worth investing in a book?
 
yes thats correct...

click on the gradient tool in the toolbar...you will see an arrow type pointer in each corner of the rectangle...so click on them and apply your chosen colour for each...

google some "photoshop" tutorials so you can a) see the full potential of this s/w and b) learn some cool tricks

Have a look at the blending options for gradients. You get so much control with your gradients that way.

Right click on layer > blending options > gradient overlay
