How do I check if I've got a dual core 2?

Hi,

Its a Macbook which I got of an auction. He said it was a Dual Core 2 but its not. Going to go to the shop he got it from and ask for it to be exchanged as the reciept says its a core 2.

The reciept says purchased in the Dec 06 but according to Apple, it starts in September.

Wow, that's pretty bad. What does the reciept say exactly?

EDIT: BTW, Core 2 Duo is what you're looking for - just for exact specs sake - the shop might be confused with Dual Core 2 (judging by the fact they gave the buyer the wrong one in the first place).

Hi,

Well I got it for a bargain regardless and the guy was very helpful. Will get it sorted. I went into one of their branches and they wanted an additional £50 to meet the sale price of £750 despite the reciept saying 700 (with a staff discount).

As far as I'm aware they shouldn't require that at all - they sold the buyer that product at that price - so why isn't that product given?

EDIT: If it helps - say it was a Christmas present and that's why you're not staff etc.

Awesome, got a nice bargain there. Why not use the money saved to stick some more RAM in there? 2GB and your MacBook will fly :)
