How do I check if my GFX card is.....

Go to Control Panel --> System --> Hardware Tab --> Devices and you should be able to look at your 'Display Adapters'

I would say you have an x1800xt as they never made an x1800xtx as far as i know!

But, yeah if you're wanting to know tha type follow the routes the other guys have given you.

Or use ATi's CCC or ATiTool.

All device manager and desktop settings both say is X1800 Series!

EDIT for all i know my card could be a crappy X1800XL

Whatt, when was this X1800XTX out? I never kenw that, I knew about 512mb X1800XT's, but XTX's

Were they just like X1900XTX's, overclocked XT's?

right click desktop>properties>settings>advanced>adapter

mine says specifically its an 8800 GTS, not at 8800 series

I vaguely remember Asus doing the x1800 XTX's, was part of the Asus TOP range.
