Hey.

As many of you may know, the PS3 gets very dusty nad today I tried cleaning it. I used the very soft cloth that came with the plasma TV and it scratches the shiny top part of the console :(.

What thing can I use to clean it without scratches appearing?

Blow the dust off?

If a very soft cloth is scratching it, then maybe something there was something else on it, so when you cleaned it, it scratched it. It happens.

Dust is a form of abrasive. Blow the dust off then wipe it down. That's what i do, i also use the cloth that came with my LCD and no scratches :)

I find that the grey cloth that came with the PSP is ideal. Shame they didn't include one with the PS3 to be honest.

use a brillo pad ;)

nah, but really - I have a JML magic mitt (think thats what it's called) and it works brilliantly.

I noticed this this morning, tried to dust it, but the dust was just not moving :D it was just being pushed around the PS3 :p

In the end I used one of those anti-static feather dusters I found in the airing cupboard, problem solved

I think they are quite static. The first time I touched a PS3 today in a high street store it gave me a massive electric shock :(

ps. I was surprised at how big the PS3 was. Looked quite slick though :) until it shocked me :(
