how do i completely remove drivers from my system?

just ordered the 3870x2 today.. hoping it arrives tom

anyway, its been a long time since i have upgraded my graphics card.. i want to install my new 3870x2 properly and do it right the first time. currently have the x1900xtx. uninstalling the x1900 drivers through the "add/remove programme" will not completely remove it right?

any tips on installing my new card? running vista32

Remove the drivers from Add/Remove, switch off, swap cards, turn on and boot into safe-mode, run DriverCleaner pro to remove rest of driver remnants, reboot normally, cancel Found New Hardware Wizards, install new drivers.

Thats XP btw, not sure if Vista would be same, can't see why not though.

Search for a program called DriverCleaner. It will clean-up all the bits Add/Remove misses.
