Another problem of mine as I had to re-install Vista.
Basically, my computer was downloading torrents when it started to malfunction.
So I re-installed Vista on a new HDD.
My old HDD still has all the contents. How do I continue to download them?
Im using utorrent by the way.

Point utirront to your other drive for storing the completed torrent files then redownload the original .torrent file and it should find the partial file and resume fro there

probably means the temp torrent, from desktop/download folder

the torrent files will be saved in %appdata%\utorrent

appdata is the application data folder, in your profile folder (its hidden by default)

yes that is what I meant. sorry for not clearing this

I did find the hidden app data folder and it stores the history of all the torrents I ever downloaded there. thanks for the help!

Can't you just go back to the original site that contained the original link, then point it to the folder where the part contents are? This is what I normally do.

often hard to re-find the files, and they're saved anyway as established above..

If it was a recent download then surely the site where you originally got it from will still have it  else how do you know if there are any seeders and if you'll ever be able to complete the download.

Ahh yes forgot all about that bit, I generally tend to get torrents off search sites so can go back there if needed.
