As the title.

I'm trying to convert some Quicktime .MOV files for a friend, so he can view them on his Playstation Portable (PSP)

Any pointers?

I've found some "converter" programs, but, on copying the converted files across to the PSP, it says "Unsupported data"

Any help appreciated.

Have you tried 'PSP Video 9'? It's a free download. If it doesn't support MOV files then tey and open them in Windows Movie Maker, convert them to avi and then use the PSP converter to make them MPEG4.

with the psp you have to get the filenams and folders correct too , its funny about reading stuff

Not anymore i believe, I think they changed that at firmware 3.10.

To the OP you can convert .mov but only with a lot of hassle, much better to source a native windows file if possible.

Chances are that you can simply change the extension to .m4v and it'll work. Worth a punt :)
