How do I do this on my ipod?

I have lots of artists on my ipod and it takes ages to wheel through them all, the other day I somehow managed to bring up each letter of the alphabet and scroll to that but have no idea how I did it! Any ideas? Cheers

All you have to do is scroll quite quickly for about 3 seconds and it should come up automatically.

for some reason I find it hard to scroll consistently for 3 seconds....!

Yea, scroll quickly for a few seconds and it will appear.
