How do I download PDFs on my iPad?

I'm sorry for being thick but when I open a PDF in safari on my lovely new iPad 3, I don't know how to save it apart from add to home screen? How do I download it entire and not just link to it?



Stupid question? You obviously add to home screen. Doh.

Ok I'm sorry for coming across as thick. But how the hell do I add a photo on this thing? It don't see my jpegs?

Doesn't it give you an option to open in iBooks?

Yes, open it in iBooks and it will be saved to your bookshelf. If you've got PDFs you want to add to iBooks, email them to yourself or put them in your Dropbox and do the same.
