Ok im having a total mare with windows 7.. ids there a way i can have my pc so when i boot up i can choose which OS it boots in? as i have windows xp and even though i lose out with 2gb ram at least it works with everything.

I did a dual boot with xp and vista( not sure if 7 is the same)
XP already installed I loaded vista and it just took care of everything, all self explanatory it even creates a boot menu for you .
Just try it :)

I think you will have difficultys doing it that way round . I dont think xp has the ability to create boot menus etc I would do some more research

Its ok I had Xp then installed Win 7 after, as long as you have it on a seperate partition.

When you boot it will give you the option to select which OS you want, by default on mine after 30 seconds it will boot into Win 7 if you dont select which one before.

32 bit, 64 bit or Linux it don't matter as long as its on a seperate partition you will be ok, as too your pc its just another HDD.
