How do I enable HDR and AA in Oblivion.

I know there is a chuck patch but isn't this supposed to be incorporated in the latest drivers. I'm currently using the 7.4 drivers with a X1950pro.

You Enable the AA in the drivers, and the HDR in the game.

Also i can't remember if you need to enable/disable the CAT A.I either as its been a while since i played it on an ATi card.

Tried all that and I still only get AA when I disable HDR.

Needs to be enabled.

I've got it set to advanced and still no AA with HDR on.

Just wondering if the same can be done with G80. Last time I tried to force AA in nvidia driver and use HDR in game, I ended up with no AA.

It should work with x1000 series and 8xxx card, although I buggered if I know how to make it work.

Yeah G80's can also do AA+HDR, works fine on my GTS.

To the OP, are you on XP or Vista, tried Enabled/Standard.

I'm on XP. I've tried Cat AI off, standard & advanced all with no change. Temporal and adaptive AA makes no difference either. I still haven't tried the chuck patch yet but it should be incorporated in the drivers i shouldn't need to.

was it called the chuck patch by any chance?

I think this was just a patch released before you could enable it in the drivers.

Think if you are on nvidia nHancer is pretty good tool for making custom tweaks for games and saving the profiles.

Seems to have done the trick, works fine with Cat 7.1, odd that it doesn't work with 7.4 though.

Yeah that is odd, you would think they would have left it in the drivers even though its an old game now, glad your got it sorted though.

I was just wonderig what was going on with this aswell, just updated to the 7.4's and AA with HDR doesn't work anymore, why the hell would they break that?

It never did work in Oblivion
You need to download the CHUCK HOTFIX patch for it.

Google "Oblivion chuck hotfix"
that will give you what you want

It did, ATi implemented it into their drivers from the CAT 6.11's onwards, there is no need for the chuck patch now.
