How do I enter Safemode?

Just before windows starts loading press the F8 button and it should give you an option.

For some weird reason that won't work on one of my old P4 machines, to get safe mode I have to let it boot to the windows splash screen & then re-set (usually a few times) ultimately, it pops up with the "The last time Windows loaded blah de blah" giving me - finally! - an option to boot into safe mode.

Why I don't know, tried different keyboards, even re-installed the OS & it still does it!

Sodding thing! :p:D

Hey Blackout, when you restart your machine, before the Windows Logo screen appears, if you press F8 before that particular (Windows Logo) screen, the "Advanced Boot Options" menu should appear. Since I know with my machine and is probably the same with most machines out their, if I press F8 as soon as the system boots, I will get the “Select Which Boot Device" menu. Now if I press F8 a couple of seconds after the machine has actually booted (Which in my case is before the Windows Logo screen), I get the "Advanced Boot Options" menu, which will then allow me to boot into "Safe Mode" if need be. :)

As modo77 has already stated. :)

usb keyboard probably?

or pressing too late

I had the same problem on my ASUS P5K. F8 was a boot menu to select a drive.
I have to press F2 for safe mode.
