How do I find my Symantec Product Key in the System Registry?

I don't know if there's a better way (i.e. someone knows the direct reg key) but in the absence of other replies so far...

Download THIS free trial. It will only give you the first 10 digits of the serial as it's a trial, but if you then search the registry for that string of digits your full serial should turn up in the appropriate key?

Worth a go :)

This method works a treat.

Cheers

Glad the original post helped :)
Try to have a look at the link I posted. It's helped me out many times when I have misplaced software keys.

Well in Windows Vista the product key can be found in the following location

Account name/Documents/Symantec there should be a file called Norton Internet Security_Key

You can open the file with Notepad.

I'm not 100% sure but it might be the same in Windows XP?
