How do i find out how good a university / college really is

Hi im looking upgrading my HNC to a HND in Electrical/Mechatronic Engineering part time in Septmember. How do i find out how good the uni/college is as i have a choice of about 5, obviously i will want to choose the closest one to where i live but would prefer to pick the best place to learn.

Anyone have any ideas i cant find nothing by google'ing. Btw i live in Wales if that makes any difference to where i search ?

Speak to the students on site, visit the establishment and seek the head of department, allow them to give you a tour of what's available.
