How do I get a PDF file to open in Adobe Auto

I have got Adobe Reader installed on my mac but everytime I download a PDF and double click it it opens in Preview. I want it to open in Adobe reader the way I have to do it is go to Open with option

open adobe reader and it should say it is not default view do you want to make it default?

if it doesnt then select a pdf file click apple+i to get information window up and then change open with to adobe reader and it will change it for all pdf files.
