How do I get my knee down? (Pics)

Looking at those pics OP, I'd say your arse is ok where it is, the foot on the inside of the turn should be on tiptoes - keeps your toe sliders away from the deck then, and I find it helps you to stick your leg out more. Drop your left shoulder and stick your left elbow out more - this will allow you to move lower and stick the top half out more.

I remember watching some MCN video about knee down when I was learning it and the guy said you're trying to get a position with your upper half, almost like you are trying to look around your mirror.

What I did to practice, was to find a fairly quiet roundabout, one with good visibility and in great condition, then I spent masses of time on it, working out body position and such – took months to get it right and like you I had lost all my strips but still wasn’t getting it down.

As naughty as it is, it still brings a smile to my face :D

Is that Stowe circuit? I walked around that a few weeks ago and got my knee down... though that was to do my laces up :(

It was indeed Stowe! :) .

Did my trackday at Rockingham on Saturday and still didn't get my knee down. I did get my arse of the seat more and I'm now putting my toes on the end of the peg. I definitely got faster and faster through the day and ended up doing some laps I was genuinely quite 'proud' of :D . Was speaking to a few guys in the fast group there and all of them just said 'get some good rubber, concentrate on your lines and it will come as you go faster..'. So that's what I'll do! Might still try a bit on some roundabouts just to say I've done it, but on the track I'll just let it happen as and when.. :) .
