Looking at those pics OP, I'd say your arse is ok where it is, the foot on the inside of the turn should be on tiptoes - keeps your toe sliders away from the deck then, and I find it helps you to stick your leg out more. Drop your left shoulder and stick your left elbow out more - this will allow you to move lower and stick the top half out more.
I remember watching some MCN video about knee down when I was learning it and the guy said you're trying to get a position with your upper half, almost like you are trying to look around your mirror.
What I did to practice, was to find a fairly quiet roundabout, one with good visibility and in great condition, then I spent masses of time on it, working out body position and such – took months to get it right and like you I had lost all my strips but still wasn’t getting it down.
As naughty as it is, it still brings a smile to my face
