Wife has a laptop and if I use it as a guest and log off when she tries to log on as Admin she is asked for a user name and password. This doesnt happen if she just logs on by herself.. However thing is even though it has given her a clue she doesnt know what the pass is. So has to reboot the Laptop and then it will allow her to log on...

So I thought It might have to do with policy settings and the password . but I cant seen anything untoward in there . Also looked in the security settings and again nothing there to say that the password it is asking for is to be invoked.

So question is where/how do I get rid of this screen. Like I said it only happens if I or someone else logs on the laptop and chooses switch user and then she tries to switch back...

Thanks for looking in.

Oh and another quick question using Outlook Express if you try to send a message that is very large and realise and stop the process How do you stop Outlook from trying to resend each time it connects up .. I know I have seen the answer somewhere but cannot for the life of me remember ...

Bypass The Windows XP Log On Screen

To make logon an unattended process:

Click [Start] [Run] and type
control userpasswords2
Click [OK]
The [User Accounts] Property Sheet displays.
On [Users] tab, clear the [Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer] check box.
Click [Apply].
Enter a user name and password that should be used to logon automatically in the dialog box that appears.
Click [OK].
Go to [Control Panel] [User Accounts] [Change the Way Users Log On and Off].
Uncheck [Use the Welcome Screen] and [Use Fast User Switching]

On [Users] tab, clear the [Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer] check box.
Click [Apply].
Enter a user name and password that should be used to logon automatically in the dialog box that appears.
Click [OK].

Have you tried the password empty? as in nothing, just press enter. They usually have a blank password for the Administrator account.
