Ok guys i have just recieved a new case off the MM and the guy who i bought it off has painted the inside and i was just wondering how i ground myself? because i know that you stick the psu in and plug ac lead in and plug in wall but dont turn on but then you have to touch something metal and i was just wondering if it mattered that the case is all black?

I think generally the idea of touching a radiator is that you touch an area that isn't painted as must paints wouldn't be a conductor? I could be 100% wrong however :D

pour water into a bucket

take the cover off the PSU

put your hand in the bucket

and touch the internals of the psu with your hand

this will ground you

touch the copper pipes leading to any room radiator
Alt as i has already been mentioned plug your psu in to the wall socket and touch this
again without switching on the power at the wall.

Right so
Screw into case
plug ac lead in wall and psu
turn off at wall and switch on psu?
touch the psu....
Start building.

Turn off PSU! Just incase! And have no buckets of water nearby :p

The PSU will be grounded though the plug socket (as every other electrical device) and so you should be safe. If you are statically charged, it will discharge through the PSU down the wire and into plug/wherever.

rub your head on a balloon. If rubbing a balloon on your head builds up static, rubbing your head on the balloon should take it off, rite?

Plug the power supply in, but leave it switched off at the wall. This'll earth the case.

You can then, as said, touch something metal and grounded. Heck, even the screws holding your sockets into the wall would do, those should be grounded :)

Genius! :D

On a serious note has anyone ever actually killed a component with static? i certainly haven't and i handle parts quite a bit at work and like to tinker away at home too :)
